SAVAGE420 Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Last time i looked at my finger it didn't have a compression gauge attached to the end of it lol. Anyways check the comp, if it checks out i say fill the tank and run the shit outa it, thats if your jetting was perfect before hand!!! Quote

quikshee Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 lol but that is a good sign of it not being blown up right????? Not neccessarily , your compression needs to be over 100 on both cylinders and within a few lbs of each other. Quote

quikshee Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Did you get a number reading when you put your finger over the hole? No. To determine if it's blown up you must do a compression test. Or take the easier route and put gas in the tank and try and start it. If it takes a bit to start it, your more than likely low on compression. Either way it is a good idea to have a heads up on your compression. Always start with the easiest things first. Quote

slopoke Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 I thought you had said the head bolts were loose and it was making a bad hissing noise or something. Quote
yamahaman244 Posted August 2, 2009 Author Report Posted August 2, 2009 I thought you had said the head bolts were loose and it was making a bad hissing noise or something. that was the nite i road it home though like i said the next moring i kicked it forever with the choke and then i took the plugs out and they are dry so it aint getting any gas and the tank is empy to i think i ran it out of gas and it has compression Quote
slopoke Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 running it out of gas can cause serious problems. I think the loose headbolts and the hissing noise from under the head is telling you something. Have you put gas in it and tried to crank it? Quote
