dwet6 Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 i am in the process of putting some new parts on the shee and i was looking at the pistons they werent that bad they were just charred on top from me running the mixture too rich. my question is should i replace the pistons even tho theres nothing wrong with them or should i just replace the rings? I have had arguments either way? Quote
fastrthnu Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 If your compressions isnt low enough, why even bother. getting new pistons doesnt always matter the condition of the piston, more so the cylinder itself. If you are just needing a light hone, then just re ring it. If th ecompression was low, then it may need bored to a bigger size thus needing bigger pistons. Quote
