I have a 2002 Banshee that has normally been shop serviced about 2 times per year all of its life. They did all the tune ups and fluid changes.

I have a couple of general maitenence questions.

Oil- Weight and how much. I seem to remember 10-30 no API or something like that. Also on my dirtbike the thumper forums talk alot about using Shell Rotella instead of the more expensive yamalube.

Also i have V-Force reeds on the bike, how long do those last, and what needs to be done if anything to check them?

Any other things to check on?

Thanks,

Ryan

10w/30 is what it calls for. I change mine out once a year, every spring, but it will depend on how much riding you do.

I've never used Yamalube or Rotella so I can't really say.

When the V-Force reeds start to wear out the edges will begin to fray. It takes quite a while, mine are 5 years old and still going strong. A buddy of mine had his fray though so it does happen. No idea how old his were since they were in the quad when he bought it.
