Overboost Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 I changed my clutch a while back, put in a nice new gasket and everything, but now apparently, I have a coolant leak into my trans oil, nice and grey. I am going to assume it is the water pump transfer tube that goes from the clutch cover to the engine. my question is, what is the best way to get it to stop leaking? just pull it an replace the o ring? I dont want to run it too long this way, I dont feel like putting a new trans together for it. Quote
LS1Inferno Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Get it ou soon clutch plate and coolant do not get along. its probably the water pump seal behind the little plastic gear Quote
Overboost Posted July 20, 2009 Author Report Posted July 20, 2009 (edited) guess while I have it apart (again, I jut put a new clutch and basket in there 4 weeks ago) I will change the WP seal, bearing and the little o ring. edit: just called and ordered some parts from jeff at fast, so I can go riding this weekend, the stealership said 4 day wait, and they are a yammy dealer and still dont have stuff in stock. losers. You think your dealer is bad. Mine said, no we have to order, DAMNIT fine order them, week and half later, they ordered the wrong parts, but whats worse then waiting another week and a half for the right parts, answer they had my parts in stock the first time i was down there.
