Banshee Chad Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 so i just got a pro flow adapter and k&n filter from a guy. traded an amp i havent used in years for it. anyways, if i put it in and go with no lid, is the outerwear needed? or would leaving the lid on be better? i currently have an 06 se with cpi inframes and jetting at 290 with stock filter and lid-no snorkel, jetting is rich by a couple i think, the filter should make it right. papa-smurf Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 the outerwear will protect it from all the junk u dont want on your filter. i would get one...theyre not too expensive Quote

If you take off your lid than you will need to bump your main jets up, 290's seem small for CPI's , i would run an outerwear no matter what with a K&N so sand or mud don't get stuck in the pleats of the filter. Darthwall Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 ya any exposed filter I would run an outerwear unless it it is for like a 300ft or strickly draging Quote
