bansheeqc Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 I need new piston to replace piston on my stock trail bike. The bike run actually on his original top end. The bore like new,i not want to bore it. I'm thinking to a cast piston like the stock one for the clearence. Anyone have tried vito oem style cast piston? Good as the stock one? thank you Quote
Larry's Shee Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 What is the reason for needing a piston? Quote
278 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 If your going to replace it you mise well get the best you can. Go with the wiseco pro-lite pistons AKA 513 series. Theyre forged pistons and alot better than the vitos ones. Quote
tonyown Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 prend des pistons wiseco pro lites  Quote
HAUSERSMOTORSPORTS Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 i did the same thing as you did. i just hones the cylinder, put vitos pistons in and now im in need of a top end. keep in mind that i did the motor in december of last year. once i get some cash saved up im going to punch it .20 over with wiesco pro-lites. you get what you pay for and i found that i paid for junk. I put vitos power's in on my last rebuild and i havent ad a problem at all. They have actually done rather well. Quote
bansheeqc Posted July 6, 2009 Author Report Posted July 6, 2009 New , my bike has 135 psi on each cylinder and now 98 psi. I think probably replace soon. I'm just looking for input for a replacement of my stock one i have in my bike actullay. I run wiseco on my drag bikes, put on my trail bike i actually run the original one with no problem. Quote
dajogejr Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Put the horse before the cart, please. When you tear it down, you will need to have the cylinders checked for wear. If the piston to wall clearance is not within spec even on a new set of pistons, you're wasting your money and time. New pistons in a worn out bore will only wear out prematurely... Get it measured and checked out before you just buy pistons.... wiseco pro-lites are the industry standard for a reason. They work... No use reinventing the wheel. Quote
