Got a new set of 30mm OKOs, and I need a good starting point for jets.

Mods are

FMF Fattys with Power core 2s

open KnN filters

V Force 2 reeds

and elevation is about 400 feet

temp is anywhere between 80 and 100, it's hot as hell her in Arkansas.

Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Justin

I have the same carbs, just different pipes and more other mods. There a great carb IMO.

Did you get them from CPW? If so they should have got them be pretty damn close for you already.

Anyways i would start with ether 160-162 mains (could even end up with 158's also if its real hot and humid out), needles at the second clip from the top and 45 pilots might be able to use 48's but probably not..

Have a go with that, better to start out a lil rich and work your way down.

Have you looked to see whats in them already?

Any more questions just ask.....

They came with some 48 and 50 pilots, and sets of 150-153 mains.

Yes, i know they give you extra, but whats in staled in them as of right now.

Sorry, 50 pilots and 153 mains needle on middle clip. Air screws are 1.5 out.

I've been riding it around the yard a bit and it bogs on the bottum a little. The top is nice and smooth though.

Huck the 48's in and that will clean up the low (rich) bog just right.

Also if the mid seems a bit boggy also, raise your clips on the needle up one position to drop the needles down one.

I would do just the 48 pilots for now though and take it for a burn and see how it feels.

Let me know if that helps.

Well hell. I put the 48 pilots in and droped the needle down and still boggs real bad down low. Anyone have any thoughts? Or should I just drop down to some 45s.

Thanks, Justin

Has anyone bought this type of sling shot before that holds the amo in the handle? http://www.liangdianup.com/sporting_1.htm

this company has free shipping to anywhere in the world and they guarantee delivery to Australia. I heard that sling shots

are ok to sell in Australia as long as you say they are being used to toss bait in the water when you go fishing, any truth

to thatone?

A lean bike can still pull clean up top. Please do a plug chop to make sure you arent lean. You always wanna start rich and work your way down.

I've got 30 oko's as well. Mine bogged bad off idle as well with 48 pilots REAL bad. It was a bitch to take off. I had to go down 3 sizes. I was getting too much fuel. You can pull the choke out and rev it a bit while IDLING to see if it wants more fuel or not. If it's better with the choke a little or fully out, the pilot isnt big enough. If worse, it's too much pilot. You can figure the pilot/air screw out while the bike is in neutral. You want it to rev very clean like a 125 dirtbike as my builder would say.

The needle clip position doesnt come into play till about 1/4 throttle, correct me if im wrong. Put your needle back like it was and leave it alone till your off idle issues are solved. Well you can leave the needle clip as is and mess with it later. It's not gonna affect your engine right off idle.
