Banshee - Only idles - wierd noise when pressing throttle

I just bought a 2000 banshee and it will only idle. Guy claims it ran fine before I bought it. Starts right up and idles, but giving it gas doesn't do anything. It only makes a weird noise, like the timing is off. Almost coughing or something. Can't describe. I have pulled the carbs and cleaned them. pilot jet is 52, main jet 158. Keihin 29pwk, vforce reeds, billit crossover intake, NOSS head, T6 pipe/silencers, k&n clamp on filters. Any ideas? I could shoot a video on my phone and email if that would help. I am at a loss. unplug your e-brake wires. (the wires going into the clutch lever)
