Drewski Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Well the other day I drilled into a boulder and hit the rear shock link and now i have a leak coming from my front sprocket seal. but also my shifting does not feel the same as it used to. It's a little harder to shift and a real bitch to find neutral when it's hot. just wondering how screwed it might be :ermm: Quote
jbones Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 can u roll it with the clutch in gear? sounds like u should adjust the clutch. Also how dose the oil look and smell? Quote
Drewski Posted July 1, 2009 Author Report Posted July 1, 2009 i had the clutch cover and clutch off to replace a kick start idler gear and put the clutch on the same way it came off and then put in new 85w gear saver oil in. Quote
jbones Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 i had the clutch cover and clutch off to replace a kick start idler gear and put the clutch on the same way it came off and then put in new 85w gear saver oil in. Is oil still leaking out front sprocket seal? how about when pulled clutch cover off any metal chunks in the case or oil ,did old oil smell burnt? Did u check clutch ajustment before putting clutch cover back on? Quote
blu01shee Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 You should check the screw that goes between the srpings on the shift shaft they are know for wearing and will cause it to be difficult to get into nuetral and cause other shifting problems. Quote
