2004LEBanshee Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 I have a question about the part that holds the rear sproket on to the axle. I have a G force axle and a stock sproket holder. I looking at mine and I noticed it has a bit of play kinda like the splines are worn not side to side but forward and back. How long do these last. Is this because of my motor being built or is it due to the new axle. I noticed the Break rotor one is loose too. Does anyone have a solution to this. I doubt I have the only bike that has done this. Darthwall Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 I put my axle on recently and noticed the same thing but when you tighten the lock nut up everything stays put I think it is just the lock nut that might loosen up over time not sure though any other imput Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 buy a new one. you dont want a bunch of play in there. it can wear on your axle splines and cause damage. any type of riding over time will cause this. Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted June 20, 2009 Author Report Posted June 20, 2009 thats what I figured. Are you guys running stockers or is there a after market one thats better. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 (edited) thats what I figured. Are you guys running stockers or is there a after market one thats better. Lone Star Racing makes sweet ass sprocket hubs and brake hubs and all hubs + tons more good shit. 2004LEBanshee Posted June 20, 2009 Author Report Posted June 20, 2009 (edited) Good deal. I was thinking maybe its better I stick with stock. I mean I would rather the hub splines wear out then the axle shaft splines wear out. Does that make sense. Wow I just checked the prices of that LSR shit and Im almost better off letting a G Force wear out. THere the same price. Edited June 20, 2009 by 2004LEBanshee Quote
