randytbo Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 2002 banshee just doing the rebuild never been apart before. Seems loike it was well taken care of. If the side play and the rods are good and eaven on both sides should it be good to go? Should I change the seals while its apart? I will have the flywheel of and the clutch too. Quote
278 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) It will last till it goes out haha. If the rod play is ok then use it. mise well get ir trued and welded while its out. Always get new seals when rebuilding, make sure to put some grease where the crank or whatever moving part will be other wise you ruin them Edited June 17, 2009 by 278 Quote
randytbo Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Posted June 18, 2009 do i really need to get it trued? it ran really smooth before the rebuild could i just weld it myself and call it good? Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 It's a good precaution to do (crank welding) especially if the motor is pushing out the ponies... but if yourmotor isn't modified much, shouldn't need to. But it is a very good thing to do if you want to be on the safe side. Quote
spurdy Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 do i really need to get it trued? it ran really smooth before the rebuild could i just weld it myself and call it good? If it were me I would get a dial indicator and indicate the crank. If it indicates in within factory specs I would weld it and call it good. SP Quote
