pecanfmr
After pulling several launches while practicing my take-offs my clutch seems to stick and nearly kills the bike. I end up having to adjust my clutch lever at the handlebars to correct the problem, then after it sits for a while I have to adjusst it back out to the original position. It also seems hard to shift during drag runs like the clutch is not pulling in all the way. The clutch isnt the best i know, its a tusk hd clutch with all 6 hd springs. It has done this ever since I installed and have tried to correct the problem the best I know how. I guess the clutch disks are getting hot and sticking together, does anyone else have any ideas on how to correct the problem other than buying a different clutch or is that my only option. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. -RM Edited June 15, 2009 by pecanfmr

And depending what kind of motor your running they should hold up well. If this did this from the start Id be willing to bet that it is either 1- a defective clutch or 2- an error somewhere in the install. But if your running a mild motor the tusk clutch should work fine. Ive run them for a while now on both my bikes with no issues.
pecanfmr
Well I just took the cutch cover off to check it out and everything looked fine and was installed correctly. The fibers looked great but all the steels except one were pretty discolored, I guess that was my problem??? Can I replace just the steels and if so where's a good place to get them? Are the stock steels any good? Edited June 27, 2009 by pecanfmr
