3SGTE Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 I start my jetting with 330 main and is too lean I retry with 350 and is too lean against what is the maximun jet I will can use in 26mm stock carb Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Main jets for the stock carbs go all the way up to 500 if I remember correctly, but I've never heard of anyone going bigger than 370's. If you need more than that then you are probably using the wrong carbs for a big thirsty motor. Are you trying to run alky? Tell us more about your set up and it would be easier to help you get it jetted. Quote
Overboost Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 well first off, what are your mods? you can go up to about a 480 jet but not without doing other stuff to flow that kind of fuel. 380 is about the max you want without modding your system to handle that, you will run your bowls dry. you must have a shit load of stuff done to be needing more than 350 mains. I have all the bolt ons and run 320 and am doing great. Quote

AKheathen Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 holly shit, would you look at them boost ports  Quote
Overboost Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 holly shit, would you look at them boost ports  ok, maybe you do need a bit more than a mikuni jet can flow. at least round slide. try flat slides, they can flow more fuel with the same jet on a round slide. so a 300 jet will work like a 370 in a flat slide. Overboost Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 tank you Which model I should buy to have a set of carburettor of 34 or 35mm for a banshee I run stock carbs, there are tons of guys on here that run these carbs that can give you some pointers and recommendations on jet sizes. just make a post asking what to run in a flatslide. they can give you MM and jets if you get their attention.
