how to get rust off your bike!

Okay so i aquired a new set of pipes with alot of rust on them. they are fmf fattys, they are still a whole abd have no bare spots. they just hav erust on the,.

how can i remove it or wht can i do it with.

heres wat i did for my ptrs

first was them as best as u can with a degreaser of your choice make sure u can eat off them.

 

then take sos pads and make sure u have enough water to reduce the pads friction and work on the rust areas

 

then take a steel and chrome specific polisher/rust remover and let it soak in, and then wipe away

 

by this step you should be almost 95% done and it requires attention to detail to cover up them missed spots

Save your money. Forget elbow greese, remove all the rust from your pipes.

So basically when i get this acid shit and stuff.

I fill up my tub wiht it and just put my pipes in there and let them soak for 12-36 hours.

HOw will i get the insides dry besides lettign them dry for a couple days.

Has anyone else ever used this stuff on pipes. jw.

Just worry about the outside. I let mine set out of the soak for about twenty minutes. This shits not super flammable so you will be ok. Just make sure you dont soak your packing in your silencers if you do your silencers to. I wouldnt use a bathtub or anything like that either. I used a tubblerware storage bin.

spray clr on them let sit then wipe off. i used a scotch brite pad but you dont really need it. $5 clr at wal mart

Use this stuff.

Just spray it on, and the rust runs off. It's easy, and safe to use.
