its was $425 with the trailer. how fast should this thing go, its a 700cc ?

Does it run?

If so thats a good deal.

It isnt going to be fast by any means, but just being on the water is fun enough.

You wont be winning any races, but you will be having fun. And if it breaks down/sinks fuck it, it was only 400 bones

If its running good id say mid 50's. Plenty fast on water. It hurts more than you think to fall at those speeds. My friend has one and it tops at about 55. I still beat him on my 4-Tec GTI making 155hp. I believe that model has about 90 or so HP

Yes, but not for long. Id try to keep it under 20 seconds since it is cooled by water it sucks up. I always start my 2 stroke skis on the lift for 15 sec and give it a few revs to make sure it still starts

Yeah you can get adapters or just make your own to run a water hose to it. BE CAREFUL. If you do, MAKE SURE that it is running before you turn the water on and that you also shut the water off before you shut the motor off. Failure to do so will swamp the motor.

WHAT!? Hell no. The water has to be running before you run it. You also don't shut it off until after the motor's off. If not, you burn up the water pump.

what do you guys think about the oil injection system on this thing? im thinking of just killing it and running premix, since its an old ski, and thats just one more thing that could go wrong. i dont really like the idea of not knowing the oil injection is fucked till the motor blows. so does toomey make pipes for these things lol

stroker what kind of ski do you have? are these motors pretty reliable?

The oil injection changes the ratio with the rpm's. Personally, I don't like it. I got rid on mine. You can buy a block-off plate for it. It just goes into the front of the crank, just like a oil pump on a chevy motor. Here's some of my saved jet ski sites.

EDIT: I have a 1996 Wave Venture 700cc. That's it on the right. That was me and my neighbor playing around behind my backyard.
