85yota Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) over my memorial day camping trip my banshees starting to feel weak, easy to kick, several kicks to start. i want to do the top end before soemthing bad happens, its all stock internals i have toomey t4 exhaust pro flow adapter uni foam filter 260 jets. ive never had a problem it never even fouled a plug. i riding everything from trials to open dune area to mx riding. i love where my power is i can maintain steady throttle power without overshooting or nose diving jumps. im going to most likely will go with a weisco rebuilt kit .20 .30 over whatever my machine guy says. and bump my jets up a little. To get some more power and keep the power where i want. what kind of mods can i do? thanks Edited May 25, 2009 by 85yota Quote
hercalmighty Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Give us an idea of what you want to spend. Also do you just have the pipes and filter or something else? Quote
85yota Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 yea thats all i got really the t4 pipes barnett clutch and foam filter. stock carbs reeds pistons bore stroke never even opened.... im looking at the top end rebuilt bore to the minium and keep stock carbs. im looking at reeds and adjustable timing plates....... Is SRP any good??? Quote
hercalmighty Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 For cheap, get the timing plate and get a set of aftermarket reeds. A little more money, get a cool head with some smaller domes. Past that your getting into porting and stroking. Also some great upgrades are suspension components. The mods are only limited to your wallet and beyond that there are credit cards Quote
85yota Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 (edited) well im definatley gettin the reeds and timing plate whos a good company i saw srp aluminum cage and billet timing plate on magic racing....... never heard of them tho.........looking into the head too. im not complaining bout my suspension right now, im waitin for a good deal of arms and shocks to come around. hercalmighty Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Reeds just get a set of Boyesen reeds (not the whole cage) and the timing plate just go with the Ricky Stator one of Ebay for 30-40 bucks. Quote
85yota Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 in that case i got plenty of money for the head. i see everyone lieks the noss head. i liek the black motor look not a fan of all chromed and polished everything Quote
hercalmighty Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Another choice is the chariot head. Both the Noss and Chariot heads are nice because you dont have to change the head studs. The big difference between the Noss and Chariot is the Noss is a two piece design and the Chariot is one piece. Both are great heads so its up to you. Quote
85yota Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 running just the reeds and timing plate should i have to change my jets in a big step or little Quote
