Midway USA Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Does anybody know any place good to get a stock stator rewound and still have it be reliable? I have talked to Rick at Rick's Motorsports Electric a couple of times. Two dealers I have talked to recommend them for any kind of stator and electrical parts. They are also working on an improved stator for battery conversions on Banshees. Quote
AKheathen Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 i wouldn't put too much faith in what dealers say. they also honestly belive that yamalube is the best, don't even recognise stock exhaust mounts, and that overpriced jet kits are a performance mod, and so on. they piss me off every time i go in there for something. that's why i buy almost everything online. I would tend to agree, but the parts guy here is an old friend and he steers us to the best bang for the buck over making money for them. Quote

dajogejr Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 not worth the hastle. ricky stator offers a stock stator w/timing plate for 125.00.i have ran it for two years hassle free Garbage... I went through two of them in two years...the second one I threw in the trash at the track because I didn't want to get stuck at an event and have it fail a 3rd time. I sent Rick's Motorsports an email a long time ago, asking about their products, etc.,.. They replied quickly that Rick would get back to me (his secretary answered the email) and I never heard from them again. My advice, find a cheap used OEM in good shape and stick with it. Quote
okbeast Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 this philosophy might work for most b ut what about those (like myself) that need more power. I need 200+ watts to run my fuel pump and charge the battery. Pray your RS junk doesn't break. Quote

You don't think Kevin G. could handle this? The guy knows everything else... Quote
