Too big without extensive porting.

I agree..

In your case I feel they would be overkill.. If you plan on getting some port work and maybe like a 4mill crank or something it may not be a bad idea to snag them up and hold onto them.. Otherwise your much better off with stockers for the time. I think your thinking they have a good rep mostly because they are so commonly used or recommended. There are so many people that fall into the category of needing a size right around there. Good aggressive dune port with some inframe drag pipes can start to utilize these carbs and throw in a 4mill crank and they really run well.. They are a good carb but I have also heard of allot of people running 34mm PJ's and being very happy with them.. I also think allot of people find them appealing because so many run them that finding tips and jetting help is pretty easy. I run the 35PWKs on mine and have always been happy with them.. Hope some of this rambling helps. lol

I don't think they're much more than that brand new...that's not that great of a price unless intakes and/or air filters and a cable come with them.

And I agree with the above...your motor isn't ready for them yet.

as stated from the guys above, i think the 35's are a good investment if you plan on a dune or drag port as found out by myself. I ran 28 pwks on my stock ported motor with stock airbox and loved em, they had a little more up top than the stockers but kept the low end punch. I recently got a full drag port and wasnt happy with the results until LAST NIGHT when i threw my buddies 34 pj's on there with some clamp on pods and it screamed, totally different bike...... needless to say i got some 33 pwk's on the way as we speak.

thanks for the help everyone!!

saved me some cashhh!

now what do you guys think about adding a timing plate at +4 and 19cc cool heads?

I would def pick up a timing plate and a head if you havent already, not sure which cc for your elevation but go as low as u can without getting too high over 150'ish and ull be fine for pump gas. But i noticed a good bit a difference when i done both of them mods on a stock motor.

im at sea level! LOL but of course im going to running 93 and at all times! nothing lovwer

im at sea level too, 18cc domes put me at 150 psi, BUT i have a full drag port and they said it lowers your compression so thats why i went lower. If your stock, go by the chart for sea level and youll be ok as long as you dont go over 150, some guys say 160 some even higher without preignition but its YOUR motor, do what your comfortable with.
