official_style Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 before i take my stator out, i want to make sure this will work. i want to get my stator rewound to 200w, and run 2 trailtechs with 50w bulbs. i want them to use the stock headlight switch for power. i know i will need a different voltage regulator, but will this melt my switch and/or stock wiring? am i better off running the 35w trailtechs, until i can do the dc conversion and run leds? mark101180 Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 i did it and had no problems just tie the high and low bweam wires together so you will have light on both positions since the trail techs only have 1 beam you dont have to do that but whatever way you do it you wont burn anything up as long as it is regulated Quote

The stock switch will even handle 125w of lights. Quote
official_style Posted May 22, 2009 Author Report Posted May 22, 2009 I have the 50w solux 4700k bulbs, I'm hoping the color is decent, I haven't tried them yet, tomorrow the stator is supposed to come in. They do look blue when there off which I don't really like. Quote
