Tf705 Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 im trying to remove the axle from the hub to get it powder coated and put new bearings in it. i have it in the vice and am beating the hell out of it. it wont move a bit. im beating it from the sprocket side. is that right? am i doing something wrong? DallasGDub Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 Thats right. They are a PITA. Have to beat it like it stole something. We were upgrading one and it bent the tip with the threads on the end. Sucks b/c he was going to sell it to make up for some of the cost of the upgrade. Quote

Thats the right side, hope you have a piece of wood or something like that in between the axle and what ever you're beating it with. Quote
