shee4speed Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 pull your carbs apart and remove the pilot jets.Make sure they are very clean. Also make sure they are the same size. Also do a compression test. Quote

Also do a compression test. Ive did both,i found a guy not very far from me that my buddy used to race with and he is going to look at it. People say he knows banshees better than anyone in the state i hope he does. Ive always been able to trouble shoot- tune them very easily but this one is kicking my ass. Quote

2003LimitedBanshee Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Have you checked the resistance on your plug wires? It could be that the plug wire on the left side is breaking down and it doesn't fire properly under those throttle conditions. Also, have you checked your float height, especially on that side? It could be that your float height is too high and it is feeding that cylinder with slightly more fuel, the bike just better compensates in the upper RPM's, as far as the smoking is concerned. Quote
