1996dragshee Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Sounds electrical.Check your grounds at the coil and cdi.You try switching plug wires?Stupid question but your spark plug boots are on tight right? It's happened to me and was he last thing i checked... Quote
Mxtreme702 Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 Switched plug wires and I'm pretty sure the ground is good. I have a powdercoated frame but i secured the ground wire to one of the rectifier screws Quote
lowbuckracing Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 double check your ground...Just to eliminate that possibilty... Quote
Mxtreme702 Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 Double checked ground it is good. When I cleaned the carb I sprayed out the mains which were a little clogged. Is there anything else that I may have missed carb related? ( The carbs pull flush and are adjusted properly). Quote
Mxtreme702 Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 Also Where is the ground at the coil? Didn't see one... just the two bolts that hold it together. Talked to another banshee friend and he said that it has to be an air leak. I don't think that is an issue thought- put my hands over carb endbells while running and felt a strong suction and also could see the fuel coming from the bowls.- so it is getting fuel. Quote
Mxtreme702 Posted April 28, 2009 Author Report Posted April 28, 2009 I figured it out. I had the two prong parking brake wire plugged in- when I unplugged it banshee ran fine. Didn't notice at first because I just plugged everything in and figured it was all good. OOOO what a relief. Quote
