picked up a 99 she over the weekend, and looked under it today to find a puddle of oil under the shifter side. i don't see any visable damage on the case, but there is some oil around the shift shaft. are these known to leak and do you have to split the case to fix it? am i looking in the right direction?

thanks

its probably the shifter seal. it can be replaced without any tear down. just remove stator cover and shift lever then pry out with screwdriver carefully and replace. simple fix.
