Ieat4strokes Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 was dragging against one of my friends today and after several passes back to back down the track when he shut his off smoke was coming out of his right pipe....like something was on fire..... i jumped off mine and looked into his silencer and it was glowing red.....the headpipe wasnt, just the silencer...... we let it cool down and eased it back to the trailer...anyone have any thoughts on what would cause that..... he has a drag port, T5s, v force 3's, pods, 34mm PJs, 160 mains at 200 ft above sea level Quote
swrbansheeboy Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 i agree, i had that happen to me once with my cascade silencers. they got oil soaked because i run a bit rich, didnt heat up red but the one side was blowing a ton of smoke and when i killed the bike the one silencer kept smoking like the packing was on fire... i'd be willing to bet that if he re-packs his silencers it will go away...
