blowit Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 my vote would be go back to stock pilot, iv talked with lonnie at sandtrax and jeff at fast racing, both of them have said you generally should never have to change your pilot jet, it can always be adjusted out with needle and air/fuel screws,. go back down to 25 pilot and move the needle down to lean it out a little, stay with 280 main I agree! I really cannot tell by the statements if this is an idle circuit issue or a main circuit issue but by the last post made, I too think we need to get the bottom end corrected first. We would not change the until the bike is ported. They run much more crisp on the bottom with the 25 pilot. However, with the air screw all the way out on a 27.5, they seem to be very close and this situation sounds like the bike is just DOA. Something does not sound right. Slides, ignition, air screw settings, etc. B Quote
AKheathen Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 ok, something just crossed my mind- is your filter a name brand k&n, or just k&n style. some of them are oil-less, and if you oil them, they will become verry restricted, causing the exact symptoms yolu're having Quote
