desertdeweller Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 I would start with a compression test to see if the top end is in good shape. A ported shee should beat a stock even a somewhat modified raptor. unless the port was bad to begin with. Where is he beating you drags, overall on the trail? If your sticking with strickly trails particulary tight ones. you might be better off with suspension to help you because you already have quite a few engine mods. Since your new to banshee`s you might just need to change your ridding style some to accomidate the shee. Quote
wacko2000 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 So did you guys race yet or no? I would say that with those mods, and if you have any skills at all, you should be beating a piped raptor all day. As long as the bike has good compression and is dialed in you should be okay. Watch out for the Raptors with more than just pipes bc they become a handful, Unless your shee is worked up pretty well. Quote
blueshee87 Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 my biggest problem as of now is traction and that I am less experienced then him. We stay pretty much side by side till corners Quote
Overboost Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 when my bike was stock, I could hang right with my friends DS 650 and they are a pretty good comparison to a raptor. with your mods, you should be able to take out a piped raptor. just get used to how your banshee rides, runs and make sure your jetting is on good. keep it in your power band, dont over rev cuz your excited and you should make short work of him. once you over rev, you really loose some power, esecially if your pipes are low/mid pipes, they will fall off in the top end. blueshee87 Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 I could very well be shifting too late cause that's when he starts to pull away. So has anyone heard of the RPM 2 to 1 intake at all of should I just get a trinity Quote
