am just wondering if anyone has ever tried t4 pipes or no any thing about them, they look just like a cpi but smaller, i have tried them on the dyno with my old setup and then tried cpi s and there was no peak horsepower difference, just reved to 10000 instead of falling of at 9000 wich is what the t4 s did. my old setup was a 350 bored .060 with 19 domes in a coolhead and boysen reeds and 33 pwks,at 6 degrees timing, and it ripped but always didnt seem like it would rev out, you had to shift it quikly. so now i have a 421 cub with boysen reeds and 35 pwks and 18cc big bore domes in the cool head with t4s. havent rode it just trying to figure out if cpi s on this setup would make more peak hosepower or just rev out more than the t4 s, nobody seems to no about the t4 s,any input would be appreciated

No i haven't tried t4's, i have shearers, but stop the truck, did you say 18cc domes? Do you realize what the compression is on that thing? With 20 cc domes my 421 kicks 190psi. 20 cc domes give you an uncorrected compresson ratio of about 14:1 even with 110 octane, jetting and timing have to be right or it will detonate. with 18cc, I would think that thing is going to be a detonation machine. Is it ported, are you running alky. Kind of back on topic, the cub loves to scream up top. It just keeps pulling, so i would think any pipe that pulls more rpm is better.

my compression is 200 to 205 and its on gas, they are just 4 mill cheetta cub cylinders with no port or clean up on the ports

couldnt agree more! mine just keeps pulling! i love my cpi's and i had a topic just like this for mine. and most ppl said cpi's or shearer's! i guess they have got the best numbers or smtn.but that cub loves just screamin on the top end man and cpi's have good top end  only thing i'd trade mine for is if i go to a drag setup for some oof[s

i just want to know about the pipes if cpi s will make more peak hp than the t4 s or just rev higher, compression isnt my queston guys, thanks for the concern though.

I dont think he ever said he was using regular gas, i just asked becuase even with 20 cc domes you get an uncorrected compression of over 14:1. with 18cc it is sky high, and im not sure 110 would be enough. I guess he will find out. But, the bike would rev out better with less compression.. Compression will help out down low, but is going to hinder him on top at that high from what i have been told. Never ran it that high so cant comment from 1st hand experience. im thinking if t4s were worth a shit we would hear about them. My guess is the CPIs will make more power, but i dont have 1st hand experience. Im sure he will let us know.

The first cub I ever built was Highroller355s on this site,he has 20cc domes and kicks 190psi,we ran it like that at first, but it was fighting itself up top with some timing into it,we backed down 20psi added timing and she ripps up top now.I was instructed to do so by people on this site and they were rite

CPI's or Shearers will deff make more power with your set up. But T4's are great pipes. I had a stock stroke /stock bore banshee with just comp, porting, jetting and gearing and had set of t5's and t4's. I tested both and the T5's were better all around pipe's but the T4's had more top end. Only 2mph so it wasnt worth loosing the wide range band of the T5's. But deff swap to CPi or shearer in your case

I have ran the shearer and the cpi's on a 421 cheetah and definately prefer the shearers hands down!! The cpi's are good pipes as well, either of the two will let that cub breath way better than anything Toomey is puting out!! They used to be my favorite pipes until I ventured out and rode some cpi's!! The increase is well worth the money!! You wond believe how long your bike pulls with a set of shearers!! Just my .02!!
