official_style Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 i opened up my carbs to change the jets yamaha had put in, and this thing fell out of the choke side carb. i couldnt find where it fell out of, the 2 jets that look like it are both installed. did they just screw up and leave it inside while they had it open? fucking dealers. HAUSERSMOTORSPORTS Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 thats the pilot? mine doesnt look that small. Quote
AKheathen Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Looks like the choke jet that screws down into the bowl, and yes, #4 shows the main jet and washer removed. I'm assuming you took that out, just don't forget the washer. wWhat are the numbers on that jet? Should be something like 2.4 if it's the choke jet, and a little shorter and wider than the pilot. HAUSERSMOTORSPORTS Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 the screw that threads into the main jet is a hex screw. Quote
lokisbuddy Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Could also be the one from the fuel bowl. Quote
official_style Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 yea it probably is the one from the bowl, what messed me up is it doesnt show any jet going in the bowl in this diagram Quote

sleeper06 Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 If im not mistaken thats called an air jet,it gives you more adjustability with your pilot circiut if your not happy with the 2.5 increments stock pilots offer Quote

(installed) it controlls the air flow to the emulsion tube. (the needle jet that you screw the main into) Quote
