petenorth Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 Just bought a 94 last night. Has not been rode much in the past 3 years. Problem is it is running great, but the clutch is hard to pull in. As soon as you put it in gear, it will start to move with it pulled in. Are they stuck? I dont think the cable is bad. Could be though. TIA for the help. Quote
screamin_banshee_2003 Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 if the clutch pull hard then probably a heavy duty springs are equiped in ur shee. If u want it to pull smoother then buy an easy pull lever with perch from fast (a sponsor of the hq) And lube your the clutch cable or even change it If your shee is jumpin forward when put in gear then you should adjust the arm where the clutch cable is hooked under the left carb. It should align with the arrow on the crank case. Look if there is a sag on the clutch lever you may get away without adjustin the arm What are your mods. Quote
MILO Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 (edited) it may be the clutch push arm bearing binding up. but it sounds like a good adjustment starting with the push arm may help. i'd just throw in a new set of plates while you're in there, since it has set that long.
