badbrad Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 So it was like 45 degrees when I checked the temp at around 12. I thought, ok, I'll call everyone and see if they are down for a ride to get the fuck out of the house. (plus I wanted to try my new works shocks and show them the graphics kit). So Brandon(700 raptor) Jesse(400ex), Tyler(ltr450) and me on the banshee all meet up and go down to the resevoir like we always do. Well, I didnt check the weather but by the time we got down there the temp had to have dropped 15 degrees. All but Tyler were totally freezing. There was still snow on all the trails (which Im sure if you have a banshee you know they are lamer than shit, like any 2 stroke in the snow) We started back and my forearm locked up. I couldnt even move my hand. I threw my hand on my pipe to try and warm it up but it only helped for a few seconds. I made it back out by using my palm to give it gas. It really sucked hard. But, seeing as how I finally got a chance to get out and ride, I refused to stop. Eventually my arm thawed out and we rode some old trails we hadnt in years. (turns out Jeeps and other vehicles tore them to shit and left us with huge freezing mud puddles to ride through (which also sucks cause I use the toomey 2 to one filter without the airbox. Finally I had enough. Funny though me and the 700 were the only ones that didnt get stuck. Then to top it off. Jesse had his girlfriend with him and he asked me to trade for the ride back so his girlfriend could see how awesome my bike was. lol. kinda made the day better. yea, boring story but you cant really expect much from a central pa hick unless I bring up alcohol related stories Quote
boneyardbanshee. Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Should have made her ride with you. Thats cool though. All the snow is gone here but everything is frozen. Was out yesterday on the trails behind the house. Hit a solid puddle on a turn and ended up in the trees. Quote
