I'm already looking at replacing the crank due to a seized rod bearing so should I bore the cylinders out more or try to find a good stock set? I'm not sure how much more they can be bored and still use a stock crank. I'm not looking for a lot of power gain just dependability. As for future plans I would really just to keep it as stock as I can. Most of my riding will be trails and lots of speed won't be need. I just want something to play around on. Quote
AWR Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) you can get .080-.090-.100 over pistons.any decent machinist can tell you which ones you need.i have seen some cylinders that would not go .100 over(to thin)if you have an after market head you have to use big bore domes on the .090 and.100.i ran a .100 over engine for a couple of years it was the best one i ever had.ihung the on cylinders on the wall..TEARS...
