Natemills8 Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 On the rod the shift forks go on what side does then clip that gos on the rod go on the clutch side or the sproket side Quote
bansheefreak Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 clutch side... thats the side they slide out ... Quote
2001Stroker Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 clutch side... thats the side they slide out ... The e-clips go on the stator side. Keep them from punching through the case. The shift cam retainer holds the front one from coming out of the clutch side, and there's a tab behind the shift spring rod that holds the other one in. You can see what I'm talking about right here. Quote
Natemills8 Posted February 28, 2009 Author Report Posted February 28, 2009 Nevermind guys i figuered it out thatnks though Quote
bansheefreak Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 i thought he was talking bout the rod the shift forks ride on.. i was trying to remember when i did mine thought it was clutch side.. guess i might be wrong.. either way thou the rod itself only has one groove for the clip.. Quote
2001Stroker Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 I think he is talking about the rods that the forks slide on. Thats what I was shoeing in that pic. You can see them sticking out the side of the bottom case. One on both sides of the shift star. That's what I was trying to point out. They're held in by those retainers, on the clutch side. Quote
swrbansheeboy Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 the notches on the shafts where the e-clips fit on are on the stator side of the engine. as the pictures show the opposite end of the shafts are held in by washer on the shift shaft adjuster and the shift drum retainer plate.... Quote
