dragbanshee Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 I dont know anything about the shaw's, I do some trail riding, mainly I like flat track and drag racing. I was wondering how the hill shooters would hold up and even compare to the works triple rates. I recently sold my triples and I was even thinking about lowering the front a little with some shorter shocks. I don't do much jumping anymore so they won't take much of a beating there. Any thoughts on if they would work ok for my type of riding? Thanks Also I can get a set of hillshooters with one ride on them for 295.00 shipped, is this a decent price? I couldn't find a lot of info on them. Quote
FireHead Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 It would really be a toss-up between what fails first, the Marvins, the shock mounts, or your back, if you tried to use them on a trail. They are very stiff and compared to normal shocks and are not heavy duty whatsoever. If Marvins are heavily cycled for long periods of time, they will also fade and turn into a pogostick. :geek: Quote

One thing Iam sure of is Tim/Becky(owners) are GREAT people and will shoot you straight.. Thats who we camped with in Glamis and they acted as though we were family rather than strangers.. Top notch folks.. RIPPEN Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 Yeah just call them and talk to them, like Jamey said they are very helpful on the phone i think i talked to Becky for a hour when i ordered my shocks then had to send them back cause they were just a tad bit to long and Tim worked really hard to go the cheapest way for me and he did. Great people for sure. Quote
