jlsparky7 Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 2004 banshee completely stock engine and pipes. Only power mod is a K&N air filter with modded air box. Bike wont start at all unless I flip it up on the grab bar with the gas on then flip it back down. It runs great after I get it started. To me that sounds like it would have to be a float problem. How do I adjust the floats? Quote
AKheathen Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 how did you come up with that one? your sig says ptr mids. have you re-jetted and adjusted your airscrews? clean your carbs out good, and hold them upside down with the bowls off. the top of the float in this orientation should be 21-22mm from gasket surface, without the gasket on. you adjust by bending the tab that the needle clips to Quote

I havnt managed to find a good set since then. That was the exact answer I was looking for to adjust the floats! thanks a lot man! The way i figured it out was everytime I unloaded it right out of my truck and tried to start it, it fired up no problem. If it was sitting in the garage for a bit and I try to start it, it wouldnt start. Edited February 23, 2009 by jlsparky7 Quote
