is it hard to change shifter shaft seal

mine is leaking oil do i have to take the case apart to change it?

No, take the stator cover off.... shifter off..... Pop the seal out with a pick tool, grease the new one up and slide it in.

 

 

 

 

And change the oil

Not hard to do the seal, however if your shift shaft is badly grooved, it may only be a bandaid or temp at best. My brothers bike leaked when i got it put a seal in but it only slowed it down. pulled the clutch cover and put in new shift shaft and seal and life was good.
