Pulled my head of of my Banshee to change domes for a trip this weekend and found a nice erosion in the top of the piston on the right side and the electrode burned off the plug and some aluminum flecks stuck to the edge of the dome. On my last ride last season pulling a long dune the power fell off and it quit pulling halfway up. I was almost out of gas when I coasted down to the bottom and figured that was the problem. Anyway, the engine mods are T-5s, +4deg and 21cc domes to go to Glamis. If I back the timing off to stock, what are the chances the piston will hold together for a few days till I get home? Or do I bite the bullet and stay home? You can feel the low spot in the center when you rub your finger over it. Or take a stock piston and change it there, can you take only one side down at a time in the frame ? FU**!!!
