Banshee Boy69 Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Hey guys, me again, well i fixed the problem before when it wouldn.t rev but now i have another problem. my banshee will idle ok but when i go to goose it, it won't take it but if i slowly rev it it is fine and if i rev it up a little when i goose it it does just fine. and how do i adjust the idle screws on top the TORS boxes? I don't think their right Quote
lokisbuddy Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Sounds to me like you need a boost bottle. Quote

Banshee Boy69 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 Check your jetting sounds rich. it's not my jetting cuz it was runnin perfect before and i have a white bros boost bottle. if i turn the choke halfway on it will rev up better and idle higher Quote
1996dragshee Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Turn your air screws in half turn at a time till it feels right or drop down a size on the pilot and start over. The dime size flathead screws on top of that shit you call tors is your idle adjustment.. Quote
Banshee Boy69 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 i know it's my idle but how do i get them both perfectly even? i don't think the fuel/air screws are the problem cuz it was running fine before. Quote

Just turn them in or out and listen. My guess is that you need to idle it up? If you can't get it by the screws on top of the tors just tighten the cable slack at the throttle lever up. Quote

AKheathen Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 it don't seem like the idle screws are workin right but I think i have a throttle cable problem too, when I turn the idle down too low the TORS will shut the motor off that would be the cable being too tight, causing the tors to think the cable stuck. you should have a little slack at the throttle. don't over loosen, or tighten the idle screws, or the carb switches will get messed up. remove your air filter and look at the slides. back the idle screw off untill it stops, then, screw it in untill the slide starts to raise. do the other side the same, then adjust them the same amount when you bring the idle back up. did you just put the bottle on? if so, turn your airscrew in about 3/4-1 turn from where it was. i have a whit bros. (not installed) and the tubes are 1/4" off from where they should be, so it might be a good idea to check for air leaks. if you turn your choke on and it works better, your pilot circut wants more fuel.
