Well I am at a tossup for pianting my new frame..I am interested in getting it pC blue but I am afraid of what the guy will tell me the price will be...haha...Option 2 I have some Napa primer and semi-gloss black fleet truck paint.. I could use that and just buy some clear to put on it and my 3 option was has anyone ever seen a frame Rhino or Line-X coated...I would think it would be badass, def no chance of it gettin all scuffed up or not too bad...Let the harassing begin!!!!!!!!

This is what $100 gets you. Candy Blue, with Chrome PC base coat. I gave him $100 even, and he bought the powder. And, it is super thick. I sandblasted it myself, but it would have been an extra $100 if he did it. He has a local small powder coating business. And, I don't know him neither.

Excuse the mess in the kitchen, I'm remodeling.

I had mine done about a year ago. They did the frame, 4 hubs, and a few other small parts for $200 including the sand blasting. Make some calls around your area you might be surprised what you can get it done for, especially the way the economy is right now. I wouldn't pay more than $250 for a frame with the blasting.

You'll find the big difference is the small mom and pop shops will do it cheaper, but will not have as many colors.

Offer to buy the powder (it's CHEAP) and they'll give you a good deal.

Plan on spending 150 to 250 for a frame which includes prep work and everything.

DEGREASE the frame and bring it to them spotless....they will appreciate that big time. they don't want to clean up your mess.

I think I paid 300 to 350 for frame, engine cases, front spindles and front hubs. Translucent Red, it is a chrome base as well...

Any of you guys ever seen or have any input on a frame sprayed with Line-X

I would imagine thats gonna be heavy.... Not by more than say 1 lb or so but still. I'd roll with powder. You can get a matte finish (thats what lineX is right?) with powder.

On a side note, I've never heard of anyone doing a quad frame with a liner coating...

I've seen them done. It doesn't look too bad but I would just go with powder or paint. Unless you plan on thrashing the hell out of it and need the protection from the liner I wouldn't do it.
