i was dradding a few guys today on a frozen lake and i raced a raptor 700r and the problem that happined is i was creeming him i was in fourth gear and switched to fith and all of a sudden it lost power lik it slowed down. so i shifted back into fourth and lost by 1 quad lenght and the race was easly a quarter mile if not longer. but i was like fuck it and keep riding the whole day and i raced a piped and cammed trx 400 or 450 and it did the same thing in the race and got murderd by like 4 lengths. wtf. i have no power 5 and 6th. i dont know if its a gas problem maybee a new petcock or port the fucker out im so pised.... also i was letting it sit for a bit cause it was getting hot and i threw snow all over the motor. and then i took off to go race the same trx cause maybe it was a fluke but i got murdered anyways it sounded like i had a rev limiter in it. wtf happined there. dont meen to have a long post sorry for that i just have to explain my storie.

ill see but its never happined to me before. ive ran it wide open in 5th and 6th no problem. im gana clean the carbs today. but i say its the petcock because ever scence i got the shee i ran it on reserve. and today i put it on on position. so i dont know but ill try rejeting

if youre drag racing 1/4 mile its very possible youre running the bowls dry.

 

if you think its the petcock, take it off and inspect it. it might have shit built up around the screens and fuel might not be flowing through it properly.

yah ill try that and i just figured it out i was doing mile and a half long races. and i have 28 keihien pwks and im running 145 for my main what should i change it to a 155 or 150 or anything else?

what is it that you want to know? changing your jets wont solve a possible petcock issue.

 

also, if youre running the bowls dry, changing jets wont solve that either.

 

if youre doing mile and a half long races, i will almost guarantee that youre running the bowls dry.. no gas = no power and possibly locking your engine up.

i said it might be a petcock problem i havent ridin it yet to check. also some one said to change the mains so thats what im asking. god damm fuck it any way. i just found out i am pushing 90lbs of compression in 1 cylinder and 60 in the other. and funny thing is both cylinders are holding there presure. and i have 3 cracks in my frame and i have no money for either problem
