hollisatp Posted February 2, 2009 Author Report Posted February 2, 2009 ok.. my pads still have the groves in them.. I took off the clutch plate and there was some coolant in there.. I think it must have gotten in there when it heated up.. the oil was thick like cold syrup and Im in 60degree weather.. I think it is leaking in the metal tube that is connected to the coolant tube... it is a new o-ring, but this has to be it? any suggestions?... thanks.. Quote
hollisatp Posted February 2, 2009 Author Report Posted February 2, 2009 here is the color.. it was red to start! Quote
hollisatp Posted February 2, 2009 Author Report Posted February 2, 2009 here is a shot of the groves... might not be able to tell, but they look ok to me..??? Quote
Pyrojunky619 Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 strawberry milk shake! haha, yeah your getting coolant in somewhere. Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 It's definately time for a new clutch, because anti-freeze doesn't play well with the clutch fibers. Might as well throw a pancake bearing in while you're at it. It's good, cheap insurance, to prevent the ball from welding to the clutch rod. Quote
hollisatp Posted February 3, 2009 Author Report Posted February 3, 2009 anyone have the same issue?? I replaced the seal behind the water pump bearing.... am I missing something? could the coolant be leaking in from somewhere else? Quote
hollisatp Posted February 5, 2009 Author Report Posted February 5, 2009 could the coolant mixed with the gear oil make the clutch slip which would heat up the gear case? Quote
