it will not crank (what does that mean)? If youve got spark and compression id look towards your intake/carbs.

Regular NGK BR8ES will do fine. How much compression do you got? Usually if it takes alot of kicks and all else works it may be low compression. If you pinched an o-ring on the install could have compression leaking out of the cylinder.

he said compression is good. I guess we could have asked, whats good compression? Is the cool head all you changed since it ran?

when i say good i mean fresh top end.... ran fine, noticably harder to kick after head install......so compression is higher..... yes the head is all i changed, ran fine before..... headlights try to come on while kicking....so elec system is ok? when we tried to push off it bogged like it wasnt getting fuel, wouldnt respond to throttle...i dont have a compression guage but like i said fresh top end, ran fine before head install.....

You might not be getting spark, the lights are comin on cause your stator is sendin power to them when you kick, you need to check for SPARK. If you don't have spark check your coil, CDI, and grounds. If you've got spark, you need to do a compression check (if a real technical guy gets in here, he'll say to check squish aswell). Get yourself a quality gauge, not a cheap one. If all that passes, you need to clean your carbs, make sure they are hooked up correctly and your flowing fuel adequately.

as stated in first post i have Plenty spark! i did however fine the problem. when removing old head the black zip tie that holds all wires together go in between the throttle cables and had the carbs wide open.....after pulling it around the yard a few times it finally started to fire up but ran wide open..... so i parked and pulled off tank and seen the cables where in a bind because of that black zip tie thing had gotten in between the cables where they split into 2. re routed them and now she hauls ass! that head with 21cc domes and +4 advance i just put on really made a difference...... so now for the port and 4 mill! buahahhahahah thanks guys
