Chris-in-Cali
i know i'm gonna sound like a tard. But what are those channel lock type wrenches for adjusting the knotched plates on top of yfz450 shocks called? Can someone please point me in the right direction for finding some? THANK YOU!! Sorry for taking up space with a simple question, couldn't find a suitable thread in the suspension section Edited January 27, 2009 by my-dixie-wrecked
SAVAGE420
Just loosen the top nut with a old flat head screw driver and hammer, then you can hand tighten or loosen the lower one, it moves real easy by hand to where ever you need it to be. Then give the top nut a couple hits with the screwdriver and hammer the other way to lock them in place. Are you trying to tighten the springs down, or loosen them? BUT if you want the right tool just get an adjustable spanner wrench like this http://www.ngkmetals.com/image/store/produ...-271-Wrench.jpg Edited January 27, 2009 by savage420

ClimbAnyHill
You might chew up those locknuts a bit with the screwdriver, get that spanner wrench! I bet Tusk makes one! Check em out, they have quality stuff with good prices!
SAVAGE420
Yeah tusk rocks out for sure...wicked shit for cheep and good quality. Anyways yes, you can tighten them slowly with a screw driver and hammer...might ruffem up a bit bit it will get done. Best case scenario is a spanner wrench though. Edited January 27, 2009 by savage420
