GET RID of that junk Ricky Stator. And yes, water can short it out.

While you have the flywheel off, shake it. Make sure you don't hear ANYTHING.

I've had flywheel magnets break apart on the inside and have it break up at higher RPMs.

Are you using the thread in type or jaw type puller for the flywheel?

So if these Rickey stators are such pieces of crap, why are they so expensive and why are they still in business. They should be banned from e-bay. OH and I used the wrong puller and ruined my flywheel. Damn, learned my lesson on that one. Didn

That company is living off the name when they used to be nice equipment.

They haven't been in a long time.

OEM Stators are the way to go, check ebay, the forums, etc.

2 bad Ricky Stators 2 years in a row (2nd was warrantied)....I"m done with that crap.

Luckily I was smart enough to keep an OEM on hand at the track last year....

Looks like I also have a bad piston on the right side. Burned to the first ring on the exhoust side. I think that the crossover choke tube must have been pulling air. OOPs. Lesson learned. Cheap fix. The left side is in perfect condition. Huh
