TJScott Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Alright, so my project is getting further and further along, soon it will be time to put the engine back together and throw it in the banshee. Now for my worst nitemare, wiring! Now as far as i know, all the wiring is there, but I still have a few questions... 1. Does the 87 have a key? and if so can i just rig it up to not need one, because i dont want to drop any money on some module that i wont ever need. I have the headlight switch that says run on it and stuff, but no key. 2. How many hookups are actually going to and from the engine and is it anywhere besides at the flywheel? 3. Any pictures of wiring on your banshee would be greatly appriciated, ive been dreading this part ever since i got the banshee, all i see are a jumble of wires that could be anything. Treat me like a noob, because I am when it comes to wiring. here is the switch i currently have. OH, while im at it, are there any special, or aftermarket parts anybody see's here? Quote

SpecialEd 05 Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Yeah red/black stripe and the black wire. They will be paired. Just bridge it with a paperclip and check for spark to make sure, then connect it properly. Quote
blaster2006 Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 hmm, dunno if this would help but: when i had my blaster i lost my keys, where they key slot is, there is a black like big nut around it, i loosened it and took the lock assy out, i followed the wires it was connected to, then it connects to another set of wires with some plastic thing around them ( 2 wires connected to 2 other wires) i disconnected them , and left the other 2 wires hanging out, which means its on. so if you have NO wires connecting anything, its as if your key assy was turned on. not off im not sure i answered your question correctly, cause i ddnt understand it fully hope this helps Quote
