captainhowdie Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Riding my 97 banshee a few minutes ago and once warmed up it started reving high, and wont come down. throttle cable is not stuck..anyone got any ideas? Any help would be awsome! Had this problem when i got it, changed the carbs out from a 98 i had and it seemed to run fine. now it started doin it again. Quote

Did you make shur both carbs were jetted correctly, its most likely running away from you because it is running lean. Is it colder outside now. The cold weather will do this if it was fine when it was warmer. Quote

ziegman Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 This can happen when the bike gets hot, ( running lean, low coolant) it also can happen from carbon buildup on your pistons. I run 300s at 1000' with t5s and pods, stock bore and no port job, 4+ timing with vforce 3s. Quote

Bad thing is i was surposed to sell it tomorrow. need to figure it out. i need the money to put into my other one. Quote
