Scott It is not a stupid question. It is located down inside one of the holes in the bottom of your carb. It takes a long little screwdriver to get it out. Look down in there when you have the float bowl off and you will see it. Quote
X53Gunner Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) So I don't have to remove the floats then? I thought they might be hiding under there? Scott Edited January 9, 2009 by X53Gunner Quote
wacko2000 Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 When you are changing the main, there is a little plastic thing there, really not sure what its called, but there is alittle hole there, the pilot jet is in there. Like said above you are going to need a long skinny Flat head to do soo. You should buy a cylmer, it really helps out alot. Joseph Quote
X53Gunner Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 Ok thanks guys!!! I will invest in one of those books also. Where is the best place to get one? Scott Quote
X53Gunner Posted January 10, 2009 Author Report Posted January 10, 2009 Well I figured out what was messing me up. I thought they were supposed to go in the hole right next to the main but the jets that they sold me wouldn't fit up in that hole and that was screwing me up! I took out the idle jets up in there and they are a bunch smaller than what they sold me. The ones they sold me are longer and have pin holes along the shaft, nothing like the stock ones. I'll have to return them tomorrow and see whats up. Scott Quote
Wildcardracing Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 They likely sold you standard mikuni pilot jets. The ones for the banshee stock carbs are banshee specific. Not sure why they built them that way. Quote
