well im kinda between this right now. my psi in my cylinders are 110-115ish. runs good and starts first kick. but i only have enough money to ether get a cool head and domes or a shaved head(20 thousanths for $30) and new rings and honed out. now my question is should i just do my rings and get the shaved head and start saving up for a cool head or get a cool head and hope my rings will last thru the summer. i only ride 1 or 2 times a week when im not working and the max 8-9 hours each time i ride. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you need to get a new front tire and stop changing your damn plastics....lol but is there ever a time your not wanting something new for that shee of yours???? lol do like you said and get that shaved head and if you dont like it get that cooled head.....

Depends on how many hours you have on your current build, how you ride, and how you jet your bike. If you do alot of preventive maintenance then you should have no problem keeping your current build through the summer. Just remember to keep up with it or your shee will be dead all summer.

Personally I wouldn't replace rings based solely on a compression gauge reading. If it runs good and both cylinders are within 10psi of each other I would seriously consider calling it good. If you want to run pump gas and decide to have an OEM head cut...Spend the x-tra $30.00 to rechambered it as well, you will be much happier with it. If you want to run 100 octane and up get an aftermarket head.
