fastrthnu Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I just mic the inside of the carbs and they are 28mm, I will take some pic's of the micing when I get home...... I got a pair of 350 mains if you want em thats prob just right for your setup. somewhere I have 360, but I dont think youll need em that big. The 370 are in my carbs now, which are to small for my setup anyways. but 350 should be about right. what are you doin with the 2 into 1? Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Does the inside of the carb neck look like its been ground on? Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Did you buy these online or from our area? Just out of curiosity. I have stockers and we can compare them next to each other if we have to. Quote

bbcmudtruck Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Haha, well the first measurement isn't right, thats the top of the carb. The second pic is where to measure them. Quote

Yeah man I got these off ebay for cheap (40 bucks for both shipped), I spend more then that in the strip club so I'm not to worried about it.... did you look at your bike yet? Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 got a url link to the auction? Quote
rajaa11 Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 got a url link to the auction? Yupper http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...#ht_1673wt_1196 Let me know if it doesn't work Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 The guy who sold them to you does not know stock carbs are 26mm. He says in the add he eliminated the tors and took them off the 1997 model year bike. So that tells me they are stock and he doesn't know they are 26mm. The seller just doesn't know his ass from a hole in his face. He also had a 2001 key switch listed and said it fits 87-06 models, which it wont because the connectors are different on some years. Same thing with a pair of headlights he had listed, certain years of those had different connectors as well. Hell, my boss has owned banshees for 15 years now, and up until I had to correct him about 10 times a year ago he though they came with 28mm carbs too. He even tried to fight with me over it, the nerve. Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 You can probably complain to Ebay or Paypal and get your money back if they are not 28s like he said, that's listing it wrong and will almost always get you your money back. IMO I like stockers over the 2:1 setup anyways...but that's just my preference, because if I get rid of my stocks they are going to be 28 flatsides. Fuck it, if you have them, put the 350s in and see what you think of 'em. I haven't looked at my bike today...I took it for a spin, and it was being a bitch just not running right. Either way it sat while I was out of town and I should look at the carb syncing and stuff anyways, it's been awhile since I actually tuned it instead of riding it. It can probably run through the weekend, but she's acting up. I'm going to have to pop off the gas tank to get down to where I need to be, haven't done it yet...I'll do it tomorrow or Thursday, I'll have an extra person to help me those days anyways to hand me tools and shit lol. Once I get the comp check I'll get you an answer for Seminole. Quote
rajaa11 Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 Well they measure 28mm, either way those bitches are going in there and if I don't like them fuck it I'll put my 2 to 1 back in...... Quote
fastrthnu Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I'm going to sell it if I like the way the 2 carb setup runs, I will differently grab those 350 mains from ya, are they for Mikuni's? of course they are. thats all I ever use cos Im familiar with them. other brands use different numbers on an equivelent size and Im to retarded to keep track of all that. I think alot of old schoolers mix em up because the RZ motors ran 28mm stock the banshe emotor originated from, and those where taken alot for upgrades. You can stll find those pos rz 28`s on ebay all the time. If those are 26mm, 350 main/ 25 pilot is most likely right on with the porting, pods, and t5`s. I wouldnt recommend runnint it with 300`s. Im getting a job next week as a mechanic out in te cape,. so if you do decide to part with that 2-1, Ill prob take it, or atleast the intake part of it. Since your in a machine shop, you can prob bore those to nearly 27-27.5mm anyways for free. Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Damn man, if you can bore those puppies out lmk I'll even pay to have you do mine. I'm outta work right now though, but my old work is trying to take me back (I quit and was thinking of relocating, but they offered me a raise, so) I should be meeting with them this week to hammer out details I hope. For that reason, cash is tight and I might not be able to make Seminole in addition to my bike being a biotch. I'm also moving out to Golden Gate Estates from the city, so my bills are going way down...and I'll have more money to spend. I hope that works out for you, fastrthnu, I want you to be able to ride with us in the future. It looks like we'll all be taken care of business by then. Quote
