bada450r Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 (edited) whats a good price for new set of cylinders out of the 3 i listed...... one of my friends want to bulid a 10 with one of this 3 cylinders just not sure wich one the cylinders will also come with no nikasil as they will have to get ported the prices i have gotten are as followed 10 mil cub no nikasil.....800 10mil super cub no nikasil.....850 10 mil dm no nikasil.......900..........this prices are out the door prices. so are this a preety good deal?also its just the cylinders no head or intakes Edited December 25, 2008 by bada450r Quote

No biggie. i been telling my buddy to do a super cub, but he really wants a dm so if he wants it he should build it.i wouldn't mind riding one.....and yeah i have spoken to other builders that port with the nikasil but for some reason lynn doesn't.....my buddy is going to get started on his project in january.so we will see what happens. so a none plated dm at 750 or 800 should be a good deal right...cylinders only Quote
No Limit Powersports Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 An unplated DM is about 900 but that is not where the cost is substantial over the cub stuff the cost of the case work and peripherals to support it is where the DM cost grows over the cub stuff. On top of the fact if he already has a head reeds, intakes, ect... which none will work on the DM. But the DM power is amazing Quote

The DM build is a bottomless pit of money. The cost to build the DM is WELL over 5k not including clutch componets. Just some food for thought. They always look better on paper then all the lil shit starts to add up and bite you in the ass after you alraedy got rid of sweet running motor.. :sad: Quote
