TJScott Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 will any stock banshee crankshaft fit in any banshee? and what are the advantages of a welded one? Quote
sheerider1026 Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 they are all the same.. welding them keeps the crank from coming ou of true, or "phase" which will cause some bad damage to your motor.. it is mostly hard on the bearings.. it is good insurance to weld the crank, especially when you start making more power... the weld the lower rod pin to the crank webs, it is pressed in place and can slip out of true, but welding it locks it in.. firebanshee Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 thanks dude, just bought one You made a good choice buying a welded crank since it is the heart of your engine.I see alot of people on here doing alot of mods to there bike without welding there crank and they are asking for trouble. Quote
TJScott Posted December 21, 2008 Author Report Posted December 21, 2008 thanks dude, im probably not going to go heavy into modding, but you will never wish you were less safe when it comes to an engine  Quote
